The beautiful main heroine of the smash RPG hit, Final Fantasy VII. Aerith fell in love with the game's hero, Cloud, before sacrificing her life to save the planet. She later guides the Lifestream to defend the world from Meteor. Aerith sold flowers for a living, and was 22 when she met Cloud. Her best friend in the game was Tifa.

The Japanese game did intend her name as Aerith, because it sounds similar to Earth, representing her being the protector and ultimate savior of the Planet, having become one with Gaia when she became part of Lifestream. Somehow the American team really did make a whoopsie.
Aerith saved the Earth after dying, and used her powers as the last Cetra to control Lifestream and use it to protect and save the Earth.

Unlike what the previous poster believes, this the true name of one of the lead roles in the smash hit game Final Fantasy VII, this may have a connection to the "Mystil" spelling error in the game, supposed to be "Mithril".
just so you know, the character designer for all Final Fantasy gammes since Final Fantasy VII spelt the name aerith on his conceptual designs.

The way that Wapanese Final Fantasy VII fanfags pronounce "Aeris". This is not due to it being her actual name that was somehow mistranslated, but due to every FF7 fan having a lisp.
