Body check

To slam into someone from any direction with a massive force, meant to cause harm/impede them; severe pushing. Usually found in sports such as soccer; deserving of a foul call, and/or, depending on its strength, a yellow card.

Our forward had to drop back to mid because the other players were disorganised. She was pulling our team together, so that hippo of a girl #18 on their team body checked her and put her out.

The term is utilised to represent checking one's body, specifically, to check if they look thin enough.

This typically includes checking your body in mirrors or taking pictures focusing in your body.

"Look at that girl's TikTok, she's talking about what she eats while showing pictures of only her body, she is so Body Check-ing."

When someone puts you up against the boards emotionally. They beat you down anyway possible without laying a hand on you. Typically, they result in tears.

Today the new general manager of our Chicago office came to town. He met and shook everyone's hand with the exception of me. I was totally emotionally body-checked.

Talking somone in any manner to assure the are still alive. This includes a text simply saying "hi"or any simple greeting. As well as the understated message of warm body check.

This phrase began with College RA's having to make sure all of people in the hall were there.
