With the soil too rocky for decent graves, a charnel house was built to contain the dead.

I've seen some brilliant productions at Crash Dive Theater, but their new artistic director has made the place a charnel house of sticky-sweet scripts, nauseating set designs, and acting performances so devoid of life that the entire audience goes home traumatized.

comes from latin words, char means fight for it and nel means strong but fragile. It means precious and should be taken care off.
