David couldn't decide between beating rush or traffic or beating the bishop. He was faced with the classic truckers dilemna.

The Classical Dilemna

The problem that arises when two friends/acquaintances meet each other, and one prepares for a handshake, while the other comes in for a fist bump.

This usually results in a subsequent change/reversal of greeting method for each party, and in more confusing attempts to combine two incompatible hand formations.

Brad: Hey whats up Tom.
Tom: Whats up Brad.

*Brad extends his hand while Brad puts forward his fist.

Brad: Ah, I see we have stumbled into The Classical Dilemna.

A Palesraeli Dilemna is a situation wherein, you really don't care about either side of the argument, but are expected to feign sympathy with one side or the other.

Cheat Chain Dilemna

When one student copies answers from the "smart" student on a particular test/homework/exam. And, to the smart student's dismay, the cheater got a better score, leaving the "smart" kid dumbfounded, confused, and in a world of self-loathing.

"The Cheat Chain is wonderful in theory, but if the cheater gets a better score than the cheatee, the Cheat Chain Dilemna is in effect."
