Dutchling (plural Dutchlings) describes a person born in or possessing citizenship of the Netherlands who has not yet reached legal age (i.e., 0-18). The expression is created by a combination of the word "Dutch" and the derivational affix "-ling" as in "duckling".
Soon after birth, Dutchlings learn how to ride a bike and grow tulips.
On Koningsdag, the streets are full of Dutchlings attempting to purchase alcohol without the need to confirm their legal age.
