inline skater

Someone who goes on Inline skates either for Artistic skating, speed skating or (most comonly) Agressive skating (sorry if I missed any out).

I really don't get why so many skaters have a problem with inline skaters. I do both. Stereotpically we both listen to the same music, wear the same clothes and are discriminated against by townies. The skate park's big enough for the both of us. I admit, inline sakting is easier than skating for the most part, but personally I found dropping in on a quarter for the first time a lot more nerve racking on my inlines than my board. You can jump off a board but on inlines you've just got to keep going. They are both good, fun extreme sports.

Why can't we all just get along????

Inline Skating

The sport of taking plastic, adding wheels, frames, boots, liners, laces, tumors (USD), and bolts doing ill tricks on ill non curb ledges, properly known as rollerbladers, doesn't get you the girls but who cares when it gets you steeze which will ultimately get you the girls, but not the skanks that skateboarders tend to pick up

The sport of inline skating is dying, underground, and all around an individual support, devoid of all corporate funding, but yet because of the love to roll it draws many inspiring and crazy individuals together.

Inline hockey

Also known as "Roller Hockey" this sport, although not as great as Ice Hockey still has some greatness to it. It is played on Inline Hockey Skates and usually on asphault or a specialized inline hockey rink. Usually it is played with a hockey ball or a red puck that is supposed to slide but in reality slides terribly. Also known as Street Puck.

inline rollerblading

Inline rollerblading is considered to be an extreme sport. The origin of inline roller skates goes back to the old strap-on skates of the 1930's. Somewhat improved in later years, with dual plastic wheels, and worn indoors in what were called indoor roller rinks; however, skating on wheels did not really come of age until the advent of the modern aggressive roller blades. Aggressive skates are computer designed for speed, lightness, durability, style, and visual appeal. These are a variation of inline skates; thus, inline rollerblading. Aggressive skates are worn on the streets side by side with skateboarders. Skaters (inline rollerbladers) are ofter seen by "true skaters" (skateboarders) as a nuisance tag-a-longs because the skate style is so similar, and use the same terrain and facilities (skate parks). Both do air manuevers and grind rails, curbs and similar objects. Skateboarders, rollerbladers, and BMXers do not mix well, although very often, each individual is either equally skilled in at least two extreme sports, or in all five. It is a very curious thing, that should be investigated by professionals. However, some members of the extreme sport culture, can "cross-over" and still be accpted by the youth extreme sport cult, as Shaun White. However, skateboarder Ryan Sheckler, wouldn't be caught dead with a pair of fruit boots (roller blades) on, although he would be damn good at it, and he knows that.

Man, I love skateboarding; I would like to try inline rollerblading, but I would ever put on a pair of fruit boots.
