Johnsonian hole misdirection

1. A reason for the disastrous 2024 election result cited by a mysterious ex-ministerial source.

2. The silhouette of an overweight man with huge feet and a huge nose, combining stereotypes of both a clown and the mythical liar, pinocchio.

3. A disguised insult in which the speaker appears to be suggesting that a particular person was sorely missed, when in fact the speaker is saying the person is and always was an (arse)hole or similar

A senior ex conservative minister blamed the parties trashing in 2024 on a Boris Johnson shaped hole - a Johnsonian hole misdirection that was picked up by the Tory-supporting press. At face value the ex-minister was bemoaning Boris Johnson's absence, when in fact (s)he may have been laying the blame at the door of Mr Johnson while implying that the man may also be a chocolate starfish in human form.
