Meataphor

Any word used to replace the name of the source animal of a meat with it's euphemistic title, such as "Beef", or "Pork" as opposed to "cow" or "pig".

"Would you like the chicken, fish, or beef entree?"

"What's a beef?"

"It's a meataphor."

Meataphor

The replacement of one meat with another, usually at a breakfast restaurant.

Hey! The waiter replaced my bacon with ham without even telling me, and right here, the menu says "no unannounced meataphors!"
