NPE

This definition originated, and as I type is only commonly used in the MMO game Realm of the Mad God.

The New Player Experience, or NPE, is a play-style in Role Playing Games that involves creating a character who is played without support from the player's main characters, or support friends that may offer.

Friend of NPE player: "The boss dropped some better armor than you are wearing, do you want it?"

NPE player: "Nah, I can't man. This is my NPE."

Friend of NPE player: "But your gear is garbage! Argh!"

NPE player: "Yeah, but it is fun to start over. Goblins take more than 1 hit sometimes."

NPE

Negative player experience

Cards like this and Zuckuss are complete NPE's. The game needs more ships like the striker.

NPE

In Java programming, it may refer to the infamous NullPointerException.

What's the full stack trace of the NullPointerException? Can you provide a full working example that demonstrates the NPE?

NPE

When someone thinks it would be fun to take an at-home DNA test, they may be completely shocked to find an NPE: Not Parent Expected.

Julie found out through Ancestry.com that she had an NPE: the man who raised her was not her biological father. Neither of them had any idea. It tore their family apart.
