is the act of seeing someone's name (someone is calling you) on your cellephone screen and deciding not to answer for whatever reason.

1) Its a term that means reading a message and choosing to ignore it or pretend you havent read it.
2) Seeing someone's caller ID on your phone "screen" and then you deliberately let it ring out.
3) A common form of underhanded cheering of video gamers to give them a tactical upper hand by spying / looking at another payers screen (most usually on split screen games) - is often also referd to as screen-spying.
It is mostly unforgivable on 1st person shooters #TC

Screening is the act of deliberately ignoring a phone call, often for days on end.

to screen a call is to look at the caller ID of an incoming call and decide whether or not to answer it.
to have your call screened is similar to being side buttoned

When you read a BBM message without actually opening the conversation, so the sender does not know that it has been read. This makes it easier to avoid them because the sender is unaware they are being ignored.
I was so annoyed with Jake so I started screening his messages.
