A show that has been in a constant state of decline, no matter who you ask.

A great skit comedy show that started in 1975 and is on today. It was hilarious up until 2000 or so when the comedy just became dull. Alot of great actors and comedians got famous through SNL; Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, David Spade, Jay Mohr, Billy Murray, Eddie Murphy, Billy Crystal, Tim Meadows, Will Ferrel, Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd and more.
Boy I remember the good ole' days staying up to watch SNL, now I can't stand the sight of Jimmy Fallon.

a sketch show that was on the decline until a year or two ago (07 or 08) ago, when they got a very good cast. The reversal was given a huge boost with the very funny political sketches in 2008, especially when Tina Fey came back to make fun of Sarah Palin.
-Dude did u c "jizz in my pants" last nite?
-Ya i did it was hilarious, Saturday Night Live is actually funny again.

A show that is commonly called "not funny anymore" by people who haven't seen a new episode in six years.
Saturday Night Live is just as funny now as it has ever been, just because you don't recognize the actors doesn't mean its not as good. If you actually WATCHED the new ones you'd know that.

An awesome show with random hilarious skits. It was fuckin hilarious until the year 2000 rolled around. The writing sucks, and the comedians on the show suck. They seem to be too self-conscious to ac completely crazy and random, and the way they actually deliver the lines sucks too. Many awesome skits on that show have been made into movies, such as Night at the Roxbury,Waynes World, and some others I can't think of right now... Some really awesome comedians and actors have started on that show, such as John Belushi, Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd, Eddie Murphy, Gilda Radner, Phil Hartman, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, Mike Meyers, Dana Carvey, David Spade, and Conan O'Brien, who was a writer and wasn't actually on the show.
I will never miss SNL, even though now it's extremely disappointing...
