Socatraz

A nickname for Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, SC. The origin of the name is in the school’s resemblance to a prison as well as its relative old age. The name is a combination of “Socastee” and “Alcatraz”, the infamously inescapable prison in San Francisco Bay.
