Email that's so old that by the time you get to it, you might as well just delete it rather than reply.

Steve-O: Naw, by the time I got through the rest of my inbox, he got it from someone else. My inbox is full of stale mail like that.

After replying to Karens Email, i realized it arrived today - BUT was sent two weeks ago, Damn Stale Mail!
