Sub-squad

A subsection of a larger group of people; larger squad of people. The whole group is unavailable so a Sub-squad is formed based upon the people who are free to hang out.

"Josh, Stephen, Tom, Matt, & Victoria have forged a sub-squad becuase the whole group (squad) was unavailable to join in their adventures."
