When something is too hard to explain over text messages and is better to be told in person.
Frank: "Dude, my mom just called the cops on me."
Brett: "Wow, why?"
Frank: "Too hard to textplain, I'll tell you at school."

When somebody tells you something interesting through an instant messaging system or text message and you need them to explain what happened but don't feel like calling them (probably because you're lazy).
Jennifer: "ZOMG Becky! Guess what? Jason and Anne had sex and now Anne is pregnant!"
Patty: "Well.. I'm not Becky but Textplain what happened! I thought they hated each other!"

To try and explain something in a text message that requires substantial detail and often takes 5-10 text messages back and forth for clarification. In other words; textplaining is a waste of time.
The fool: "Hey what's up? What did you do this weekend, and what do you think about life as a concept in general?"
The victim: "Come'on now. To textplain this would be insane! Ante up and call"
