Trachycarpus

A genus of palm trees that are known for being able to tolerate cooler temperatures and usually have nice sized trunks covered in warm fibers. Trachycarpus takil, Trachycarpus fortunei, Trachycarpus bahariterrana are examples.

I love growing Trachycarpus palms because they can handle our brief snowy nights as long as it warms back up really quick.

Trachycarpus bahariterrana

A specific hybrid of Trachycarpus palm that is found and naturalized in Bahariterra.

Those windmill palms up there are a variety known as Bahariterra Chusan Palm or Trachycarpus bahariterrana.
