Uptick

Uptick was especially popularized during the Covid era and essentially means an increase in number of a particular statistic or measure. It is often accompanied or by a graph or visual representation of the reported increase. The media, in particular, seem to be fond of using this term.

During the second wave of the pandemic there was an uptick in the number Covid cases being reported.

Uptick

A person who treats any member of the lgbtqia+ like shit including if they are apart of the community

Person 1: i don't think person 2 should have rights because they are gay
Person 2: well guess what, i think you should get your rights taken away because you're an absolute uptick
