A hashtag or phrase that’s used to ironically describe something that should have been a normal event but ended up being utterly ridiculous, insane, or absurd because it’s happened in the year 2020.
“England’s bought the wrong satellites for GPS after leaving the EU. Their government clearly has 2020 vision”
“Man have you seen the news? Kanye West is running for president #2020vision”
“Donald Trump bought up the entire worlds supply of the drug to help in the pandemic #2020Vision”
n. A complete, well focused, idea of what your new year, and indeed your life and the life of your family, country, football club etc will become.
.........
Do you have 2020 Vision?
Not yet. Things in the crystal ball seem a bit hazy
Perhaps I can sell you some more rose tinted glasses Don.

An abstract view of the world when the world is a giant toilet and humanity is being flushed down the U-bend one cataclysmic disaster at a time. The opposite of rose tinted spectacles.
I was going to go out but I remembered I have 2020 Vision so I decided to cry on the sofa instead.

When the mind’s eye could see clearly how fake, irresponsible, or inept political leaders’ selfish actions (and inactions) led to the world’s failure to contain the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
In the aftermath of many leaders’ fake 2020 vision, even with vaccination presently being rolled out in many developed countries, life in 2021 is unlikely to return to its pre-pandemic days.
