Weathergutting

A weather community revolutionary's term used to describe the public/private profiteering and misinformed depiction of weather, particularly severe weather, e.g., tornadoes, lightning, mesocyclonic updrafts and downdrafts, or hail.
The term primarily stemmed from the sight of the most blinding high contrast eye sores of YouTube thumbnails that depict severe weather, often utilized by people trying to grift off of natural disasters by presenting it as an amazing rare experience, ignoring the complex concrete science of severe weather, and instead using it as something to profit off of.
They are typically the weather community's laughing stock and quick comedic sharing time.

Oh great, Jimmy found another one of those weathergutting YouTube channels, showing off, again, the same image of a tornado surrounded by lightning, and he isn't too happy.
