This is the way you write "much obliged" when you've done way too much television/movie watching and too little reading, i.e. you're functionally illiterate.
1) Lookit me, I'm a cowboy-wannabe! But when I said "much abliged", all they did was laugh at me.
2) Even those dumbasses in "City Slickers" knew it was't "much abliged"; Curly would have stomped them for sure.
