Aide-de-camp

Literally “helper of a military camp” in French. A personal assistant to a senior rank.

Can be used as “little minion”, “proxy”.

“Big boy are ye? Brought a little aide-de-camp, ye? What’s next, holding mummy’s hand aye?”
