really ugly, taken from "bet down with the ugly stick", which a colloquial irish version of "beaten down with the ugly stick". often the word "bet" is used alone as an even shorter version.

"you seen sarah's new fella? BET DOWN!"

Bet Down Let Down

thinking someone is hot from a distance or from pictures until you see them and then realise they are dog ugly!

I thought she was a savage but it turns out shes a major Bet Down Let Down.
