Improvised, usually using substituted parts on hand.
We don't have any screws that will fit, but we can buckshee it with wire.
That clamp is buckshee, but it will do until we get the part.
This was common usage in thr RCAF, circa 1960s.
When you skive off work without anyone knowing
- Hey Johnny, I didn't know you were off work today!
I'm on an ol' buckshee Steve!
