2. (Slang) Someone who whines through an entire camping trip.

A political candidate who is both campaigning for public office, and complaining about another candidate campaigning for the same position.
Person A: "So what have you seen about that governor's race in Minnesota?"
Person B: "A whole lot of camplaining. One candidate was crying about yard sign placement. Another candidate was whining about comments they made being taken out of context. I can't wait for this round of elections to be over with..."

A camplainer is someone who bitches and whines on a camping trip.
A camplainer voluntarily joins in with a group on a hiking trip finding they got themselves in a hell of a workout. Camplainer falls a lot. Camplainer drops boots in water. Camplainer needs pack roped down steep drops. Ending conclusion, camplainer hates hiking.
In campaigning organizations, e.g. those that do issue-specific or electoral campaigns, a camplainer is a campaigner who bitches too much about admin and/or management staff.
