drop like

When you like something on twitter or instagram and then immediately unlike it. The person that made the tweet that you like still gets the notification, but it doesn’t show up in your liked tweets so other people can’t see.

Alyssa texted me last night and said Jared drop liked her pic, what a creep.

dropped like a lead balloon

1. "Dropped like a lead balloon" is a phrase, not a word, but it is none the less an old expression that means literally and/or figuratively that something will not fly. That it will drop like a rock, etc...

He told the boss his new idea for the ad campaign and it dropped like a lead balloon. There was no way that the boss would approve such a risky & shoddy scheme.

drop a like

A phrase used by generic, annoying youtubers at the start of every video to try and appear more popular and hence earn more money, usually affixed with β€œand hit that subscribe button”

β€œI’m gonna spend the first 5 minutes of this 10 minute video talking about how you all need to drop a like and hit that subscribe button, before I actually show you what you clicked on the video to see... because I’m as annoying as fuck”
