Fetish Clang

The bundle of startling, confusing, alienating, distracting, and/or strange experiences associated with being a sexual fetishist in the presence of one's specific fetish interest while in a non-sexual context, as though a loud bell were suddenly ringing, that only the fetishist can hear.

As a clown fetishist, going to the circus always gives me fetish clang, because I feel like I'm watching live porn that no one else sees as being porn.
