greed-ism

the pursuit of individual goals associated with excessive and unequal ownership, use or hoarding of wealth or resources with disregard for the damaging effects on other individuals, communities, organizations, society as a whole or the planet. Greedism is associated with the the philosophy of " greed is good " articulated by the character of Gordan Gecko in the movie " Wall Street" It underlies the Global Economic Downturn and the behaviour of individuals and organizations associated with it. Bernie Sanders has indicated the greed-ism which underlies Wall St. Greed-ism operates like racism and sexism to unfairly distribute power and resources but now based on ideology rather than race or gender.
