Flyboy (Airforce) term for forcing a new or potentially new recruit to perform strenuous, humiliating, or dangerous tasks. The word originated in the 1980's when an Air Force wife apparently misspelled the word "grief" in a letter to her congressman. The letter was made public and numerous school teachers made it a point to publicly harass the struggling wife about the spelling.
In an ongoing response and defense of the Air Force wife in question, Airmen and their wives around the globe have taken to using the term and are hopeful to see it added as a new word in Websters before 2015.
