Noun; a contraction of the phrase 'green fringe', often coupled with the word 'lunatic', as in ‘the lunatic gringe’. Denotes the social demograph wherein can be found those poor souls who sacrifice all else for the sake of environmental ideals, and attempt to convert all and sundry to their own personal cause.
He was part of the lunatic gringe, and had sworn never to eat lettuce unless he was sure it had been humanely killed.

verb. to whine, to winge, to complain
Etymology: Tim Minchin's grandfather created this word, presumably to describe his grandson's upset attitude as a child upon discovering how the world is full of stupid people. Tim Minchin himself now uses this word in his song "Lullaby" to describe his young daughter's midnight whining.
