Gunsafe

Compound term for gun-safety that is either a noun, adjective or verb depending on context. Gun-Safe, Gunsafe; the arguably heightened level of safety achieved by the arming of civilians. More specifically, the lawful arming of individuals not affiliated with law enforcement in any official capacity; military, police, security, government agency, etc.

Gunsafe is a term or tag regularly found on the internet which may be included in arguments for or against the arming of civilians.

Gunsafe may be used to refer to a society where average citizens are entrusted with firearms specifically for the purpose of achieving potentially lethal force, where necessary, in order to uphold the law.

A store or house may be considered gunsafe if the owner keeps a firearm nearby in order to deter, prevent or discontinue crime on the premises.

Being gunsafe in public would mean carrying a firearm for personal protection, or for the protection of others.

Not to be confused with a gun safe, a locked box or vault, designed to prevent unauthorized access to firearms.

Not to be confused with gun safety, the training and education that covers the safe handling and use of a firearm.
