IND is very known in Baltimore and yes it's a private school which costs lots of money. They are cliques and the most popular girls rule but respect each other and very spoiled because there rich. They are close with Calvert Hall and Curley boys which they mostly date. IND has a long time rival with Mercy so every year they have a basketball game which many people attend. Leaders and very recognized woman in Maryland have went to IND and are proud till this day. I didn't go to IND because of lack of funds but I wished I did .

A freethinker, a maverick. Short for individualist. An ind learns to define success for oneself, and never lets fads, movements, ideologies, or entertainment dictate their happiness. They tend to minimalists too, as every frivolous item or preoccupation has the tendency to derail them from being in tune with themselves. They are very intentional about everything. Inds care about what's important and meaningful, not what's new or popular. Inds do not go with the flowβnot because they seek to be different or spite the status quo, but because what most people care about, do, and think are not valuable. In this sense, an ind's lifestyle and perspective can nothing but render him different.
Jonas had the air of an ind. He seemed to have perspective; well-read and humble, never jumping to conclusions, but rather engaging in slow, methodical thought. He was unlike anyone I've ever known.

A mystery, one of the words composing the word MANKIND.
Maybe in order to understand mankind we have to look at that word itself. MANKIND. Basically, it's made up of two separate words "mank" and "ind."
What do these words mean? It's a mystery and that's why so is mankind.
