long-roof

noun; slang term for a station wagon, particularly one that has been turned into a low-rider or a street rod; so called because the roof of a station wagon is longer than the roof of a closed car such as a sedan or hardtop; these cars, formerly thought of as old-fashioned cars that only tennis moms would drive, have become fashionable since they don't look like your mother's minivan...

"Dig that long-roof Chaz is driving! Never thought an old Country Squire would look so good!"
