Minimod

A normal forum poster that takes it upon themselves to push forum rules and tell everybody how to conduct themselves instead of leaving it up to the mods. Typically reserved for people that don't know what they're talking about, act like they have some kind of authority, and/or are obviously doing what they're doing to try to score points with the real mods and become moderators themselves. (especially if it becomes a regular thing for them and/or they don't contribute much good to the community otherwise)

A typical minimod would go into a thread where several members are in an intense, hostile argument that hasn't degenerated to the point where nobody's having an intellectual discussion anymore and tell everybody to stop flaming and trolling each other, and possibly that they'll be banned if they continue.

Minimod

A Minimod is a person who acts as they have moderator permissions on a Discord server. They will act like dicks and will notify you when breaking a rule and telling you that you will be warned about your violation. The most common thing they will try to do is to give themselves the "role" of chat helper. Most of the times minimods are going to be warned by the actual staff of the server.

Do not respond to these people as they will accuse you of being a Minimod while not realising their mistakes. Also, if there is a rule on the server which prohibits minimodding, most of the times drama will begin and the chat is going to be filled with dumb fucks. Avoid Minimods as much as you can.

Minimod

A member of a community that acts like a staff member or someone with authority. They will often try to suck up to staff members in hopes of becoming one of them. They are annoying assholes, and very hypocritical. They will go around "enforcing" the rules, but when angered, or even normally, will break the rules. This often ends up with the minimod being punished. Minimods are usually aged around 11-13.

The best way to counter minimods is to simply ignore them, or say "ew, minimod". If you were to say the phrase "ew, minimod", 3 different things may happen. Scenario 1: They are silenced and do not bother you anymore. Scenario 2: They will try to report you. This, in most cases, will not work as the staff members probably have an IQ over 1. Scenario 3: They will be mega triggered and go ballistic on you. If you really hate them and want them to get banned. Provoke them until they break a rule.

Minimod: Attention member, it seems that you have been repeatedly breaking the guidelines listed in the rules. If you continue to behave this way, we will have no other choice but to warn y-

minimod

a minimod is a regular forumer who doesnt have moderator permission (aka staff, mod, admin, etc...). They mostly warn you when you don't follow server's ideology (i.e family friendly, chilling,...) or rules. Next attempt when you're repeat and they saw you did they will tries to using regular report tool to make you punished (mostly their report wont accepted by real moderator/staff).
If you share same with their ideology(i.e speech, opinions,....) then nothing to complain here but if u changed afterwards they may turn up against you
Mostly they will argue with others about other's opinions or speech, and trying to suppress them. Eventually they will overreact and mostly got punished by real moderators

Don't speak to them unless you have same ideology with them as they can create lots of dramas if you have something not right for them. Avoid while you can, you may consider using ignore/block method.
