Notzi

A counter-factual construct of German National Socialist Workers Party which is not the unhinged, virulently racist and militarist group it actually was. It's not associated with any sort of Nazi apologetics, but rather the question "What if Hitler had been assassinated at this point of the war?"

Having the Third Reich faithfully uphold the Anti-Comintern Pact and not being mass murdering monsters in the East required them to be Notzis.

Notzi

Stephen King used the term in the first story “Mile 81” in The Bazaar of Bad Dreams. I guess it’s either a spelling error, or more likely he didn’t want to use the actual Nazi word, so as to not offend those of a Jewish persuasion, or to have the word linked to his name in a google search. Maybe. (He also used the term swat-sticker, so, there’s that too...)

“The Beeb’s teeth had been blacked out, and someone had added a Notzi swat-sticker tattoo to one cheek.”
