The preeve is the pre-eve, the eve of the eve. As in Dec. 24 is Christmas eve, Dec. 23 is Christmas preeve. Commonly just called "the preeve."
*Christmas is in 2 days, so today is the preeve! Tomorrow is Christmas eve, then finally the big day!"
In an on-line chat, to pre-empt the other party by being the first to send when both parties exchange nearly identical phrases or thoughts at close to the same moment.
Me: U wanna get a beer after work?
Him: Hey, I'm thinking happy hour 2-nite

In an on-line chat, to by a small margin be the first of two parties to send/submit the same thought.
To type what another is typing in an instant message and have it appear sequentially in the conversation due to the ansynchronous nature of online chatting.
