Reticulous

Reticulous - adjective
A combination between ridiculous and retarded normally said when someone or something says something extremely stupid. When describing someone you can either call them a reticulous person or reticularded if they are extremely retarded.

Craig: Shall we have Brelundin
Paddy: Nah its only 22:17 Don't be Reticulous

Craig: I think the green lantern is better than batman
Summer: Dont be reticulous its just cos you have a massive gay man crush on the green lantern

Craig would be an example of a reticulous or reticularded person because his stupidity is beyond ridiculous

reticulating splines

Nonsense technobabble used in a production context.

Reticulating splines started off as an in-joke at Maxis and grew to fame with the widespread popularity of The Sims. While it does have a "real" meaning, this definition isn't actually correct in the context of its use. It's really a programming joke.

Reticulating splines is essentially filler. Don't want to describe what's holding up the program? It's reticulating splines. Why isn't the Internet working? The splines aren't reticulated. Heck, don't want to explain your calculus assignment? We're reticulating splines this week.

Sorry the video took so long to upload. Reticulating splines took hours!

reticulated giraffe

The reticulated giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis reticulata), also known as the Somali giraffe, is a subspecies of giraffe native to the Horn of Africa. It lives in Somalia, southern Ethiopia, and northern Kenya. There are approximately 8,500 individuals living in the wild. The reticulated giraffe was described and given its binomial name by British zoologist William Edward de Winton in 1899, however the IUCN currently recognizes only one species of giraffe with nine subspecies.

Reticulated giraffes can interbreed with other giraffe species in captivity or if they come into contact with populations of other species in the wild.

Together with the Rothschild's giraffe, it is by far the giraffe that is most commonly seen in zoos. Its coat consists of large, polygonal, liver-colored spots outlined by a network of bright-white lines. The blocks may sometimes appear deep red and may also cover the legs. Giraffes are the tallest mammals in the world.

Me: That's a cute reticulated giraffe you have there!
The scared zoo owner who saw me break inside his zoo: Yeah, uh, thanks. Get out.

reticulating splines

The process of combining many short lines and curves into longer, interpolated ones called "splines."

Also, the process of combining many imprecise and abstract ideas into one larger, complex one.

Tomorrow I'm going to sit down and figure out the meaning of life, so I'll be reticulating splines.
