Sesquipedalian

A lover of words; particularly long words. These people don't merely love these words, they lust these words, they fantasize about them, they fucking ADORE THEM!

The lives of Sesquipedalians are words, they live, breathe and eat words. Literally. Extreme Sesquipedalianism (or ES) is a condition whereby a patient reports excessive masturbation and intrusive sexual thoughts about words. Treatment is sparse.

Nick: Hey, I redecorated the bedroom with Predominantly last night.

Warren: You're such a sesquipedalian! I love Paradoxically so much I think i could cry.

Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness

Sesquipedalian (adj.)

(Of a word) Containing many syllables.

(Of a person) Having an advanced vocabulary.

Loquaciousness (adj.)

(Of a person) Having a tendency to talk a lot; garrulous.

(Of a sentence) Using far more words than necessary; verbose.

Therefore, "Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness" refers to the tendency of a (usually) highly intelligent person to use extremely large words in mass quantities in order to sound more intelligent. Commonly found in chemistry and other ambitious majors.
Done right, it makes the person sound like someone who oughta be respected and paid attention to, because they definitely know what they're talking about.

Done wrong, it makes the person sound condescending and/or pretentious.

I started playing Words With Friends with Stephen. Terrible mistake. I should have known his sesquipedalian loquaciousness would give him the advantage. He wipes the floor with me every time!

Sesquipedalianism

The action or practice of using long, complex words in speech or writing, often to appear more intelligent or to obscure the meaning. This can make communication harder to understand and is sometimes seen as pretentious.

His blog posts were criticized for their sesquipedalianism, as he seemed more interested in showcasing his vocabulary than in making his ideas accessible to readers.
