Tejano

A descendent of original Spanish-speaking settlers/Hispanics or Native American people of Texas. It is derived from the word โ€œTejasโ€, the original Mexican term for โ€œTexasโ€. These descendantโ€™s lineage dates back prior to Texas becoming a U.S. state. Theyโ€™ve also incorporated some Anglo culture into the original Hispanic/Native culture.

Eva Longoria comes from Tejano/a family from Texas. Her family lineage can be dated back nine generations. Eva grew up speaking only English like many other Tejanos.

Also Selena is better than your pop artist, by far.
