McCorporation

A company with a very large number of brick and mortar outlets, often national if not worldwide. The corporate cultures of these profit-driven companies usually include an expectation of consistency from store to store, enforced by a rigid set of rules and a series of metrics that often measure variables which are outside their employees' control. This does not protect said employees from the consequences of failing to meet those standards.

Some of the best-known McCorporations include McDonald's (duh), Wal-Mart and Aldi.

Mistake Whiskey

A metaphor for having done something you regret and can't take back. As with too much alcohol, the more Mistake Whiskey you consume, the worse you feel; especially the next day. Coined by J. Jacques in his webcomic Questionable Content.

Colonial spring

A bout of warm, springlike weather toward the end of winter; the opposite of an Indian summer.

I think we ought to dub this period of unseasonably warm weather a 'Colonial spring' because:

1) It wasn't invited and it's not supposed to be here,
2) It seems like a blessing at first, but you suspect a global calamity may be lurking,
3) Its 'gifts' are often laden with nasty surprises like illness and flash flooding, and
4) Things could turn ugly again really quickly, without warning, despite assurances to the contrary.

pungasm

An appreciation of a particularly clever example of punning and/or wordplay to the point of rapture. The social sciences equivalent of a nerdgasm.

All it took was a single visit to the Pungeon Master page at TVTropes, and I was drowning in a tidal surge of pungasm glory!
