Short for "Calm The Fuck Down"; used when someone grossly over reacts to a trivial situation.
(Bob is sitting at his desk, and Alex bumps into it, accidentally knocking Bob's pen off)
Bob: Dude, WHAT IT WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!
Alex: CTFD, man!!
CTFD: An intialism for "Calm The Fuck Down" mosty used in chat forums and email, but having some leakage to vernacular usage. (see-tee-eff-dee)(emphatic)
"During the CoVid-19 lockdown panic with all of those empty shelves in the supermarkets, I wanted managers to put up signs link, 'Attention customers: please CTFD, you don't need to buy 25 rolls of toilet paper'."

It means Chill The F*** Down, or Calm The F*** Down, usually used when one person gets mad at something simple, which wasn't meant to insult. Also used to calm someone down before a Beef.
