A figure of speech originating from within the internet, or intertubes, that is not easily translated or understood from outside the context of the intertubes.

Intertubulism carries a negative connotation for its derivation from intertubes, and its parent the series of tubes, itself a subject of folly and ridicule.

Adam: That's an intertubulism for a show of support, "quoted for truth."

Friendly Dinosaur

A ridiculous and self-serving claim presented as scientific or intellectually honest fact.

The phrase is a play on the anti-evolutionary claims of humans and dinosaurs co-existing peacefully on earth.

Adam: "Technorati says 77% of active internet users read blogs."

Bob: "I'm sure Technorati would like to believe that -- 77% sounds like a Friendly Dinosaur."
