Hoffing

A breath of air passed from one person to another as a result of not using social distancing. Passing air is usually warm in temperature and often expelled from the mouth with a gentle hoff sound.

As John woke from his sleep he felt the uncomfortably warm breath of Jane “hoffing” directly into his face.
