LMG

Light Machine Gun, the most basic primary weapon in the Half-Life mod, Natural Selection. It is fast firing, accurate, and has a large (50 bullet clip).

It is not extremely damaging; just 10 hp against an un-carapaced alien with an un-upgrated gun, but this is offset with the rate of fire and clip. Just make sure to point it in the general direction of the target.

Every marine begins with an LMG, and may be given an HMG, Shotgun, or Grenade Launcher.

Space Boy

A eurobeat song by Dave Rodgers. It speaks of shining stars, and getting the babe by being like a space boy.

Primarily featured in Initial D.

Every night you light me with your gasoline.
Everytime I feel delight when you recall my name.
So you can be my shining star tonite -
I'm not alone with all your love.
Fly across the sky,
you will be mine!
I can feel your dream with you - BABE!

Deus Ex

Short for Deus Ex Machina, or the literary term for an event or person coming out of the blue and doing something miraculous or unprecedented.

The game of the same name has your character, JC Denton coming from nowhere and changing the world drastically in a matter of days.

We worked as slaves to the terrible aliens for years, and then Eminem came over and detonated a nuke on the planet. Talk about Deus Ex!

poetic license

The right that an artist (occasionally called artistic license) or writer has, to let him or her deviate from fact or conventional ideas. This is usually to make things more interesting, or try to introduce radical ideas.

This is commonplace from past to present, from the history of music or the history of games; companies and people have tried something crazy and new, and people liked them, like the Team-based Realism Genre that Counter-Strike introduced, or the RTS\FPS hybrid that Natural Selection and Savage have used.

"Sir, dolphins do not have giant rabbit ears..."
"It's uh, poetic license! Yeah..."
