an imaginary town on top of a mountain. A metaphor invented by vegans to illustrate that going vegan can be made in stages and isn't all that easy. For many people, it requires effort, as if you were walking uphill. It might be in a valley one day, as soon as the majority of the population goes vegan.
Going vegan is still an uphill struggle - which is why our metaphor Veganville is situated on top of a mountain. (Tobias Leeneart)
the delicious vegan version of Foie Gras (a paste made from duck liver and traditionally eaten for Christmas in France). The literal translation is "fat joy".
Can also be called "faux foie gras", "faux gras" or "fougras".
Who needs foie gras when you can have joie gras? Merry cruelty free X-mas!
