It is a categorization of social media site best applied to any social media site that largely resembles the user interface of the site X (formerly known as twitter). By this, the social media site must also be restrictive in its posting parameters to the degree or near enough to the degree that X (formerly known as twitter) used to have before its current rebranding and restructuring by the current owner.
"I used all my twitters to shoot out a tweet about the whole thing...y'know Instagram, Facebook, X, Yak...etc"
in light of recent events. This can now be used as a size dependent category of social-media post that does not exceed 140 characters in length when it comes to words, 4 pictures, and/or a little over 2 minutes of video. Essentially, this is quick short-form blogging or vlogging out on any social-media platform that allows for blogging or vlogging.
"I tweeted about the whole debacle"
"Oh snap, what sites?"
"Oh the usual, Instagram, Tumblr, Imgur...etc"
