Denoting a type of synthetic hormone, but more often a word used by jealous people, and internet haters/trolls in conversation to explain and excuse their own lack of success in fitness or weight loss.

"Yeah I know you can't see my abs, but that's only because I am not on steroids." or "That guys is definitely on steroids, because he is in better shape than me."
