The milky way is the name of the galaxy we currently live in, which is surrounded by black space that surrounds the whole universe.

If humans were to meet aliens in the future

Human: "Greetings I am a human of the Milky Way galaxy"

Alien: "*unknown alien language"

Human: I must learn this form of communication at once!"
