An influential Japanese Rock band that began their 20+ year career in 1984. Style ranges from "Positive Punk" to Experimental Rock, to Cyberpunk Rock, to Gothic Rock, to Straight Rock. Consisting of 5 members: Sakurai Atsushi (vocals), Imai Hisashi (Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals), Hoshino Hidehiko (Rhythm Guitar/ Backing Vocals). Higuchi Yutaka (Bass), and Yagami Toll (Drums).

A band from Providence, Rhode Island. Sort of a bluesy indie folk rock band, Deer Tick is most recognized for the gritty voice of frontman John McCauley. Some of their songs include Baltimore Blues No. 1, Ashamed, These Old Shoes, Dirty Dishes, Smith Hill, etc. Perform mostly songs written by McCauley but have been know to cover many different songs , especially in concert.

A tick is the tick of a clock, meaning a very short space of time. Hang on means to wait: "Wait a minute". Informal speech.
"What do you want?"
"Hang on a tick....an apple."

1. If you have a glass eye, tap on it occasionally with your pen while talking.
