sex can be between two people (or more), and it is used in reference to sexual activity. people engage in sex to feel a stronger sense of connection with their partner (either married or not), to feel pleasure themselves, or to get a woman pregnant. Most people think of sex as the bonding of two souls (the soul connection); when two people have sex it is as if they are two wooden planks glued together-- you can pull them apart, but there will still be pieces of wood and glue on each plank.
