word spigot

A term used to describe the mouth and mind of a talented slam poet or rapper.

The rapid-fire, staccato syllables flowing from this word spigot, punctuated by the spilling of tender whispers made me come close to fainting on the spot.

word hell

A torture my husband claims he endures due to my compulsive contributions to UD and the fact that I force him to listen to me read the ones aloud that get published.

I don’t want to inhabit this life of word hell, it’s tantamount to mental water boarding.

Word Vacuum

When you instantly regret saying something as soon as the words leave your mouth. Usually something that sounds unintentionally dirty, or just something you wish you hadn't said aloud. The tone in your voice changes halfway through the sentence as soon as you realize what you're saying. You wish you could just suck the words back into your mouth - like a vacuum.

Leafs announcer (after a hit) - "And that was two big bodies banging!"
You at home - "Woah, that was a word vacuum."
